Wind Analysis Module

Automates wind load calculations for buildings and structures

Module Description

Wind Analysis completely automates ASCE’s “Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures” for Wind Loads.

The software follows the ASCE code “to the letter” -each figure and table is coded into the program so closely that the ASCE publication can be used as an operator’s manual for the program*.

Reports in DOC, XLS, and PDF format.

Technical Specifications

  • Built on ASCE 7‑16 and 7‑10, delivering modern, code‑aligned wind load calculations for virtually any structure.
  • Automatically adjusts for Mean Sea Level, Importance Factor, topography, and Exposure Category, removing manual guesswork.
  • Computes external and internal pressure coefficients, plus gust factors — including those required for flexible structures.
  • Integrates pressures over the frontal area to produce accurate forces, shears, and overturning moments for real‑world geometry.
  • Includes updated Chapter 30 Part 1 & Part 2 tables for Components & Cladding, plus new Risk Category IV wind maps.
  • Provides new zone‑based pressure coefficients (1′, 2e, 2n, 2r, 3e, 3r) for gable and hip roofs, aligned with ASCE 7‑16.
  • Features Hawaiian Island wind maps, expanding coverage for high‑wind regions.
  • Wizard‑style interface guides.
  • Outputs directly to Word, Excel, and PDF, with computations shown line‑by‑line.
  • Uses US customary units with a clean, engineer‑friendly workflow focused on speed and accuracy.
